50+ Cheap (Or Free) Summer Activities For You And Your Littles

Summer is here! School is out of session for the next few months, the weather is perfect for evenings by the fire, and calendars are beginning to fill up with lots of fun events.

But with all the free time and wonderful weather that summer offers, it can be a little overwhelming to think of ways to keep your children entertained and occupied; especially if you’re trying not to spend money.

The following list of activities may help you better plan your days or weeks with your littles. This list is great for babysitters and nannies, too! These activities are suitable for almost any age. So be creative, have fun together, and enjoy the summer!

At The Park: 

  • Blow bubbles
  • Play frisbee
  • Kick a ball around
  • Swing and slide
  • Have a morning or afternoon picnic
  • Feed the ducks
  • Fly a kite
  • Play in a splash pad

Around Town

  • Go on a walk
  • Visit the farmer's market
  • Get ice cream
  • Ride bikes
  • Visit the library to browse the shelves or participate in a reading or music event
